It's my own damn fault... |

Well, you may or may not know that I’ve been working on my first digital feature, Declaration of Independents, for almost 4 years now, and it’s finally nearing completion. It’s been an interesting ride to say the least. This project has been the best kind of film school. I've learned so much during this shoot, and not just about the art of shooting, but about the business of shooting. |

Manna for the Damned - post production 1 |

We're basically at picture lock with Manna, meaning that no more editing changes will be made. Except I'm starting to rethink some of the editing choices for the cemetery scene when Joe tells Devon he's going to hang out with some girl and Devon isn't invited. I showed that scene to Branden when he stopped by to drop off the Super 8 camera. As we were watching it I thought, "wow, that's alot of different angles of Devon in a short amount of time". So maybe I'll address that. Or maybe not. Perfection isn't a goal of mine. I don't want to get too lost in the details otherwise I'll be tweaking this forever. |

It Hurts, but It had to Happen... |

It's been a few months and I've been busy with business setup stuff. Not my favorite thing to do. What creative type likes having to deal with business plans and govenment paperwork? But I did it. Why, you ask? Why go through the pain of it all? I asked myself that question several times during the process and this is how I convinced myself. |
