Unfiltered Entertainment came to be in 2006 as a privately-owned Nebraska corporation with the purpose of creating original entertainment content for theatrical, home video, cable television, IPTV, the internet, and mobile devices distribution. UE is dedicated to high definition production, filling a need for content providers and the audience’s desire for HD content. A low-budget independent approach to creating content will maximize creativity and originality by relying on the talents of the founders and other Nebraska natives while also maximizing profit for the corporation and its investors. The abundance of local talent in Nebraska makes UE’s production model possible.

UE’s goals are as follows:

  1. Produce high quality feature length films in high definition for distribution in a variety of ways that meet the demands of historically strong niche markets including horror, science fiction, anime, and suspense/thriller.
  2. Complete two projects per year along with their appropriate support materials such as graphic novels and/or video games.
  3. Establish a reputation in these markets as a source of high quality content.
  4. Use internet technologies like blogging and podcasting to establish relationships with audiences that have a desire for the content UE can provide.

High definition and multi-platform content demands continues to grow as technology changes. UE plans to meet those demands and continue to incorporate the latest content distribution technologies while giving the public the content they want and remain loyal to.

Management and Organization

UE’s strength comes from its team. Chad Haufschild and Andrew Johnson developed the concept for UE as a way to take their talent and experience to the next level. With the addition of Dorothy Booraem as COO, adding key staff and building relationships with other consultants and advisers, UE is positioned to take on a variety of projects.

Andrew Johnson, Co-CEO and Writer/Producer/Director

Andrew’s extensive and comprehensive understanding of current and emerging technologies will prove invaluable to UE. His position with ISoft Data Systems has taken him through four generations of software development for PC and PDA computing. He has performed various marketing functions for ISoft, and is responsible for managing the production of marketing and training materials for ISoft’s current product line. Andrew has successfully managed his work for ISoft while attending the University of Nebraska Lincoln’s marketing and advertising program. Andrew has participated in four short film productions, one feature length production and has written and produced a short of his own. Over the last year he has turned his attention to animation, putting his problem solving skills to work on streamlining the animation production process for both high definition digital films and video games.

Chad Haufschild, Co-CEO and Writer/Producer/Director

Chad has been involved in various capacities on over 40 short films, music videos, and industrial projects. As a writer he has received statewide and regional competitive recognition. As a producer/director he has completed 14 short films and is currently in post production on his first digital feature. Chad’s leadership skills have sharpened with each and every film project. As Vice President and President of the Nebraska Independent Film Projects, NIFP, Chad has shown an ability to work through difficult projects with limited budgets and volunteer labor. Chad currently holds a position with Bluestem Interactive, a marketing firm, as VP of development where he manages the production of video, web, and multimedia marketing materials for the firm’s clients.

Dorothy Booraem, COO and Writer/Producer/Director

Dorothy is a producer at Time Warner Cable, where she writes, shoots and edits commercials for local businesses.  Her commercial for the Lincoln Children's Zoo won "Best in Division" and "Best in Show" at the 2006 Cable Advertising Awards.  As the President of the Nebraska Independent Film Projects from 1997-98, she established the Middle of Nowhere Short Film Festival.  In 1998, she and Chad Haufschild started Cornfed Video, a video distribution company that released four short film compilations and two documentaries in local video rental stores and for sale online at www.cornfedvideo.com.  Dorothy has written, directed, produced and edited many short films, notably the zom-com HD short "Manna for the Damned" and "The Deadly Bridal Shower", a 2007 selection for the Omaha Film Festival.  Presently she is hard at work editing her horror feature, "Wake the Witch", and writing a romantic comedy feature.
